Hornet 160R is priced at approx Rs. 81,000 (ex-showroom price) and it’s supposed to be compete with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZS.

Appearance

The bike is unequivocally fine-looking for this particular segment. It exudes a butch, macho look which was achieved by integrating bulky panels and a large fuel tank. Hornet 160R is aimed at more style-conscious riders.
The fascia of Hornet 160R resembles a lot with CB Unicorn Dazzler. However, the side profile is the most interesting aspect of this motorcycle. The rear of Hornet 160 is an X-shaped tail lamp. Additionally, the bike gets LED head lamps along with a hazard light switch in the place where normally there’s engine kill switch.

Engine

CB Hornet 160R by Honda carries a 163cc, air-cooled, single cylinder engine. It produces 15.7 bhp at 8500 rpm and generates a peak torque of 14.76Nm at 6,500 rpm. There’s also a five-speed gearbox. Both front and rear are supposed by disc brakes. The bike also carries a Combined Braking System which is a replacement over standard disc-drum setup.

Braking and Performance

Although single channel ABS is available as an option but CBS and ABS are not available together. The front brake sits at 276 mm while the rear one measures 220mm. the bike weighs close to 140 kg for CBS version while the standard version weight around 140 kg. The fuel capacity sits at 12 liters. Riders can carry extra fuel with them by mounting Jerry Can – 5 Liters by LLUVIA. The front tie is 100/80-17 while the rear one is 140/80-17 supporting the ride.

Variants

Honda Hornet 160R is available in five variants. The mechanical differences lie mainly with the brakes. Users get the option to go with standard brake setup, CBS, or ABS. The remaining two variants are called ‘Special Edition’ which mainly emphasize on different graphic schemes.
The Special Edit Hornet doesn’t come with ABS.
In terms of color schemes – customers have the option to choose from white/blue, green/black, orange/black, yellow, and red/grey.
